Beyond the mat

On the mat, we practise more than movement. We have a chance to notice how we respond to effort, uncertainty, repetition and change.

Do you rush through what feels unfamiliar? Hold your breath when something becomes difficult? Can you adjust your approach without feeling that you have failed?

For me, this is where the physical practice becomes a space for self-observation. You can explore strength and softness, attention and habit, without needing to turn every discovery into something to fix.

The invitation is to notice what happens while you practise, and stay curious about whether those familiar responses also appear elsewhere in your life.

What you notice on the mat may become a question you carry into your day. There is no need to answer it immediately.
