What is true for you today?

Some days, movement feels inviting. On others, you might want quiet, company or a little more time before you begin.

I try to make space to notice these changes before assuming that what suited me yesterday will suit me today.

That does not mean only doing what feels comfortable, or being able to choose how every hour is spent. Responsibilities are real, and having choices about our time and energy is a privilege.

Still, a brief pause can help me understand what I am doing and why.

If you would like, take a moment. Notice the contact of your body with the chair or the floor. You might place a hand on your chest, if that feels comfortable, and ask:

What am I noticing right now?
What brought me to what I am doing?
What would I like to make room for today?

You do not need a clear answer. The pause itself can be enough.
